Scholarship Detail

The Texas A&M University Graduate Scholarships are offered by Dr. Charles Randklev and Dr. Roel Lopez under the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute and the Department of Rangeland, Wildlife, and Fisheries Management. The programme supports both Master’s and PhD research assistantships beginning in Summer/Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.

The research focuses on environmental flow systems, particularly evaluating emersion tolerance to support environmental flow recommendations. Students will also develop and validate predictive models for freshwater mussels, working with environmental and hydrologic datasets to identify ecological thresholds and drivers of species persistence. The goal is to link physiological limits of aquatic species to water flow management and conservation strategies within Texas river systems.
