Scholarship Details

Applications for the 2026 McCall MacBain Scholarship cohort will officially open on June 1, 2026.

The McCall MacBain Scholars program allows outstanding students to pursue a fully funded master’s or second-entry professional undergraduate degree at McGill University while participating in an intensive interdisciplinary leadership development program.

The scholarship was designed to support future leaders by combining academic excellence with mentorship, coaching, networking, and community engagement opportunities. Scholars are paired with mentors, advisors, and coaches who guide them throughout their academic and professional journeys.

Each year, up to 20 Canadian applicants including citizens, permanent residents, and refugees, alongside 10 international applicants, are selected as McCall MacBain Scholars. In addition to the main scholarship awards, approximately 100 finalist and regional awards are offered to candidates who perform exceptionally during the selection and interview process.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the 2026 McCall MacBain Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be current students expected to complete their first bachelor’s degree by August 2027
  • Have earned their first bachelor’s degree within the last five years (January 2021 or later)
  • Applicants who earned their degree more than five years ago must be 30 years old or younger in 2026
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification recognized by McGill University
  • Meet the minimum admission and language requirements for eligible McGill master’s programs

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants for the McCall MacBain Scholarship will receive:
