The Kansas State University Scholarship is offered through the Hope Lab, which has received funding from the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks to conduct research on the bat species Myotis ciliolabrum, particularly in western Kansas. As part of this initiative, the lab is recruiting two Master’s students to engage in ecological research combined with genetic and genomic analysis. Selected candidates will carry out fieldwork across various locations including State Wildlife Areas, Federal Lands, Smoky Valley Ranch, and private lands.
This programme provides an opportunity to gain hands-on research experience while contributing to important ecological studies. Students will also develop additional skills through involvement in biorepository workflows and small mammal research activities.
