The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise.

The disclosure was made on Tuesday by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, who stated that candidates who participated in the mop-up examination can now access their results through the board’s designated result-checking platforms.

According to Benjamin, the release of the results marks the beginning of the next phase of the admission process. He explained that the board would proceed with the ranking of candidates before commencing the printing of admission-related result slips.

“Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the board will commence the ranking of candidates,” he said.

“Thereafter, the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend.”

The mop-up examination was conducted on June 13, 2026, to accommodate candidates who had been successfully verified for the main UTME but were unable to sit for the examination due to technical glitches, biometric verification challenges, or other issues encountered at their examination centres.

The main 2026 UTME was held nationwide between April 16 and April 25.
