Scholarship Details
The UNHCR TagDev 2.0 (Transforming African Agricultural Universities to meaningfully contribute to Africa’s growth and development) program is a collaborative initiative involving RUFORUM, the Mastercard Foundation, GCHERA, and a network of African universities. It is designed to transform agricultural education by strengthening institutions and equipping students with the skills needed to drive sustainable and inclusive agricultural development across the continent.
The program focuses on building capacity in agriculture and agri-food systems, with strong emphasis on entrepreneurship, innovation, and climate resilience. It also promotes inclusive education by supporting vulnerable groups such as refugees, internally displaced persons, and individuals with disabilities.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the UNHCR TagDev Scholarship 2.0, applicants must:
- Be a young African (male or female)
- Be under 35 years of age
- Be interested in pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture
- Be willing to participate in program information sessions
Applicants who are refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced persons, or persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
