The Regenerative Soil Health Laboratory in the Department of Environmental Science at Tennessee State University is offering a fully funded M.S. research assistantship under the supervision of Dr. Sougata Bardhan. The program focuses on advancing research in soil health and regenerative agriculture through interdisciplinary approaches.
Selected students will participate in research areas such as soil health assessment, soil–plant–microbe interactions, biochar and organic soil amendments, cover cropping systems, agroforestry practices, and soil micronutrients in relation to food quality and human health. Fieldwork will involve collaboration with farmers, extension specialists, and research partners across the southeastern United States.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the Tennessee State University Masters Scholarship, applicants must:
- Hold a B.S. degree in Soil Science, Environmental Science, Agronomy, Ecology, Agriculture, or related fields
