Scholarship Details
The Erasmus Mundus EMerald Master’s program is aimed at training a new generation of engineers with anentrepreneurial mindset, capable of identifying and sustainably managing mineral and metal resources essential for the green energy transition. Fully taught in English, the program provides an innovative curriculum combining practical lab work with advanced digital tools. Students will rotate through four top-tier European universities, each hosting at least one semester and awarding a degree.
The program emphasizes hands-on experience, interdisciplinary knowledge, and the development of skills necessary for the global resources and process-engineering industry.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with basic knowledge in Geology (minimum 3 years of study or 180 ECTS credits) or a Bachelor’s in Minerals Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering (with focus on metals extraction and processing)
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Geology is accepted
- Have at least 22.5 ECTS in university-level mathematics, as the program grants an engineering diploma

- Scholarship amounting to €33,600, disbursed as 24 monthly allowances of €1,400

- Copy of passport and sworn English translation of birth certificate (French translation required for selected students at French university)
- ID-format photograph
- Updated resume in English (maximum 1 page)
- Personal motivation letter in English
- Copy of High School Diploma and sworn translation in English or French
- Copy of higher education diploma and transcripts, with sworn translation
- English proficiency test (TOEFL min.87, IELTS min.6.5, or other proof of B2-C1 level) for non-native English speakers
- Official documents of academic or professional accomplishments in the last five years
- Recommendation letter
- Proof of residence issued within 12 months of the deadline
