Eligibility Criteria

To be qualified for the Deakin University RTP Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a domestic or international student enrolled in a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) program at Deakin University
  • Have completed at least four years of tertiary education studies
  • Not be receiving an equivalent Commonwealth-funded scholarship intended to offset HDR tuition fees
  • Not be receiving income from another source for general living expenses that exceeds 75% of the RTP or DUPR stipend rate
  • Have achieved at least:
    • 80% or equivalent in the research component of previous studies, or
    • An equivalent level of academic achievement based on:
      • Relevant work experience
      • Research publications
      • Previous research experience
  • Meet all minimum admission requirements outlined in the Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) Admission, Selection and Enrolment Procedure

  • Step 3: Complete Sections 1–9 of the EOI form and send it to the supervisor
  • Step 4: The supervisor completes Sections 10–13 of the EOI form
  • Step 5: The supervisor submits the completed EOI form and supporting documents to the relevant faculty email address
