The CERN Short-Term Internship Program 2026 is designed for undergraduate and master’s students in technical, scientific, engineering, computing, and administrative disciplines who wish to gain practical work experience while completing their studies.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the CERN Short-Term Internship Program 2026, applicants must:

  • Be a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State.
  • Be a full-time student pursuing a Technical/Administrative Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s Degree.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Remain enrolled as a full-time student throughout the internship period.
  • Be studying in one of the eligible disciplines.
  • Have good working proficiency in English and/or French.
  • Please note that PhD students are not eligible for this programme.
