An MS Assistantship is available beginning Spring 2026 in the Department of Crop, Soil & Environmental Sciences at Auburn University. This assistantship is part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary research initiative focused on wetland hydrology and biogeochemistry, exploring innovative strategies to detect hydric soils in complex environments.
The program seeks highly motivated students eager to contribute to impactful environmental research supporting wetland conservation and restoration under the USDA-NRCS Wetland Reserve Easement (WRE) Program. Students will work alongside leading researchers to advance the understanding of soil and hydrological processes in wetland systems.
Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualifications:
