The DAAD Young Ambassadors Program is a two-semester volunteer programme that enables selected participants to share their experiences of studying or researching in Germany and encourage other students at their home universities to explore educational opportunities in Germany.

Scholarship Details
The DAAD Young Ambassadors Program is a unique two-semester volunteer opportunity for DAAD scholars and students to promote study and research opportunities in Germany at their home universities and colleges.
Young Ambassadors serve as representatives of DAAD by sharing information about studying and conducting research in Germany. During the academic year, participants work with their university’s study abroad offices, take part in study abroad fairs, organise classroom visits and information sessions, host engaging events, and answer questions from fellow students who are interested in studying in Germany.
The programme provides participants with valuable experience in public speaking, event organisation, networking, leadership, and international education promotion.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the DAAD Young Ambassadors Program 2027, applicants must:
- Be a national of India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, or Sri Lanka.
- Have previously studied or be currently studying or conducting research in Germany.
- Be under 32 years of age as of January 1, 2027.
- Be enthusiastic about promoting study and research opportunities in Germany through presentations, events, and other activities.
- Be willing and able to participate in the Young Ambassadors Training Workshop, which will take place online in November 2026.
- Be willing to volunteer as a DAAD Young Ambassador during the academic year.
