The SAP Young Professionals Program is a free initiative delivered by the SAP Digital Skills Center to help young African graduates build successful careers in the technology industry.
The programme is designed to prepare participants for roles as SAP Associate Consultants through intensive technical and professional training. Over the course of two months, participants will gain hands-on knowledge of SAP technologies, develop essential workplace skills, and earn globally recognized SAP certifications.
Upon successful completion of the programme, SAP will connect graduates with employment opportunities across its ecosystem of customers and implementation partners. While the programme does not guarantee employment, it provides valuable exposure and networking opportunities to support participants in securing SAP-related careers.
As an SAP Consultant, participants will be trained to contribute to the design, implementation, optimization, and support of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP’s intelligent enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. Consultants also provide business process expertise, project support, and technical guidance to help organizations maximize the value of SAP solutions.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the SAP Young Professionals Program 2026, applicants must:
- Be currently unemployed or employed in a part-time or non-permanent role unrelated to their long-term career goals.
- Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in:
- Business Administration
- Management Information Systems
- Engineering
- Data Science
- Artificial Intelligence
- Or a related discipline.
- Have preferably graduated within the last three years. Proof of academic performance may be requested.
- Have achieved a GPA within the top quartile of their graduating class (preferred).
- Have a strong interest in pursuing a career in SAP consulting that may involve travel.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Be available full-time from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, throughout the two-month programme.
- Have reliable internet access, as the training will be conducted entirely online through live virtual classrooms.
