Scholarship Details
As the first Nigerian institution to partner with the Mastercard Foundation on this impactful initiative, Pan-Atlantic University aims to train and empower over 650 scholars within the next decade.
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at PAU is focused on expanding access to quality education, nurturing future leaders with strong entrepreneurial and leadership abilities, and equipping students with the tools needed for career success. Through structured mentorship, internship placements, and career guidance, scholars are prepared to thrive professionally while also being encouraged to drive meaningful social change within their communities.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Pan-Atlantic University Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, applicants must:
- Demonstrate strong academic excellence
- Show clear leadership potential
- Prove financial need
- Belong to one of the priority groups:
- Young women interested in STEM programmes
- Internally displaced young people
- Young people with disabilities
- Demonstrate commitment to giving back to their community
- Have at least 5 O’Level credits (WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB), including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Three other relevant subjects (Arts, Sciences, or Social Sciences)
- Maximum of two sittings
- Achieve a minimum UTME score of 220

How to Apply
To apply for the Pan-Atlantic University Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, follow these steps:
- Step 1: Meet the Academic Requirements
- Ensure you have at least five (5) O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language (maximum of two sittings)
- Step 2: Fill Out the Application Interest Form
- Candidates without UTME results should complete the Interest Form to begin the process
- Step 3: Write the JAMB UTME
- Sit for the UTME examination and score at least 220
- Step 4: Complete the Online Application Form
- Fill in your personal, academic, and background details and upload required documents
- Step 5: Screening and Shortlisting
- Applications will be reviewed and shortlisted candidates invited for interviews (physical or virtual)
- Step 6: Admission and Scholarship Award
