University College Dublin (UCD) is pleased to announce scholarship opportunities available under the School of Earth Sciences for its graduate taught master’s programmes. These scholarships are designed to attract high-achieving students with strong academic backgrounds who wish to advance their expertise in earth and environmental sciences.

The UCD School of Earth Sciences Master’s Scholarship is open to international, Irish, EU, and UK students who are applying to study MSc in Subsurface Geomodelling or MSc in Environmental and Engineering Geoscience for the 2026–2027 academic year. The award aims to reduce financial barriers for qualified students by offering tuition support and living stipends, while promoting academic excellence and global participation in UCD’s world-class learning environment.

Eligibility Criteria

To be qualified for the UCD School of Earth Sciences Master’s Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an International, Irish, EU, or UK student
  • Apply to one of the eligible graduate taught master’s programmes:
    • MSc in Subsurface Geomodelling
    • MSc in Environmental and Engineering Geoscience
  • Be holding an offer of admission for one of the eligible MSc programmes for the 2026/27 academic year
  • Meet the academic entry requirements for the selected programme
  • Satisfy the English Language requirements of University College Dublin (UCD)

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants of the UCD School of Earth Sciences Scholarship 2026 will receive:

  • Up to two full tuition fee waivers for EU applicants
    • Open to Irish, EU, and UK students who qualify for the EU fee rate
  • Up to two stipends worth €20,000 per year for non-EU applicants
    • Provided as a contribution towards living expenses
    • Open to students who qualify for the Non-EU fee rate
