The Nigerian Law School has announced that applications for admission into the Bar Part II Course for the 2025/2026 academic session will officially open on Monday, September 11, 2025.

According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration, Ms. Aderonke Osho, and shared on the Council of Legal Education’s official X account on Tuesday, the application window will close on Friday, October 31, 2025.

The new academic session is scheduled to begin on Monday, February 2, 2026, and will run concurrently at the institution’s headquarters in Abuja and across its campuses in Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Yenagoa, Yola, and Port Harcourt.

The school clarified that eligibility is strictly limited to Nigerian law graduates from accredited Nigerian universities and foreign-trained law graduates who have successfully completed and passed the Bar Course at the Nigerian Law School. Applicants are required to follow the application guidelines available on the school’s website, www.nigerianlawschool.edu.ng.

The statement further stressed that only candidates whose details have been forwarded to the Nigerian Law School by their respective university registrars will be allowed to apply. Prospective candidates were therefore advised to confirm their eligibility with their universities before making payment for the non-refundable application fee.

Applicants must ensure that completed forms, along with references, are downloaded, filled, and submitted to the Nigerian Law School through their Dean of Law on or before the October 31 deadline. Re-admission and cleared referred admission candidates are expected to apply under the “re-admission” section of the portal, attach their clearance or approval letters, and forward all documents to the Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration at the school’s headquarters by the same deadline.

The Nigerian Law School also emphasized that late applications will not be accepted and urged candidates to keep their application numbers, as they will be required to check admission status.
