The Lagos State Scholarship Board has released important guidelines for shortlisted applicants ahead of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the 2025/2026 Scholarship Awards.
In a statement shared on its official Facebook page on Monday, the Board advised applicants who participated in the 2025/2026 indigene verification exercise to regularly check their email addresses for invitations to the CBT.
The CBT forms part of the scholarship selection process and is designed to assess the knowledge and aptitude of eligible applicants.
According to the Board, shortlisted candidates will receive information about the CBT date, venue and other examination requirements through their invitation emails.
Applicants have been advised to take note of the following rules:
1. Check Your Email Regularly
Applicants who participated in the 2025/2026 indigene verification exercise across the five divisions of Lagos State should regularly monitor their email for the official CBT invitation.
2. Read the Examination Instructions Carefully
Candidates are expected to carefully read and understand all instructions provided before commencing the examination.
3. Arrive at the CBT Venue Early
Applicants should arrive at their designated examination venue early to avoid delays and ensure a smooth examination process.
4. Dress Appropriately
Candidates are expected to dress appropriately and maintain orderly conduct throughout the examination exercise.
5. Follow Officials’ Instructions
Applicants must comply with all instructions issued by CBT officials before and during the examination.
6. Do Not Bring Prohibited Materials
Candidates have been warned against bringing prohibited materials or electronic devices into the examination hall.
7. Avoid Examination Malpractice
The Board warned that candidates caught engaging in examination malpractice or impersonation would be disqualified and could be referred to the appropriate security authorities.
8. Beware of Fraudsters
The Board also urged applicants to be cautious of fraudsters who may attempt to collect money or personal information by claiming they can help secure the scholarship.
It stressed that it has not authorised anyone to demand payment in exchange for participation in the CBT or the award of a scholarship.
Applicants were therefore advised to rely solely on information communicated through the Lagos State Scholarship Board’s official channels and avoid paying individuals who claim they can influence the selection process.
The Board reiterated its commitment to supporting access to quality education and providing educational opportunities for students across Lagos State.
