The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from 2021 to 2025 to accept or reject the offers on its Central Admissions Processing System.
The board announced the extension on Wednesday through its official X handle, giving affected candidates until November 30, 2026, to take the necessary action.
JAMB advised candidates with pending admission offers to log into their CAPS accounts and indicate whether they intend to accept or reject the offers.
The board warned that candidates who fail to act before the new deadline will lose the status of their outstanding admission offers on JAMB’s records.
It stated that after November 30, any outstanding offer that has neither been accepted nor rejected will automatically be changed to “Not Admitted” on the candidate’s JAMB record.
JAMB also advised affected candidates not to wait until the final day, urging them to check their CAPS accounts and make their decisions before the deadline.
The latest extension follows an earlier deadline of September 30, 2026, which the board announced on August 30 for candidates who had received admission offers between 2021 and 2025.
The board had initially set August 31 as the deadline before extending it to September 30.
In its earlier announcement, JAMB explained that candidates who accepted their admission offers would be able to proceed with printing and obtaining their admission letters, while those who rejected their offers would have their CAPS dashboards reverted to “Not Admitted.”
JAMB also clarified that candidates who had moved to another institution or programme could accept their previous outstanding admission and subsequently apply for the relevant correction or deletion where necessary.
The board further stated that candidates who received admission during the 2026 admission exercise but still had previous offers pending could reject the earlier offers without affecting their 2026 admission.
However, under the latest extension, any outstanding admission offer from 2021 to 2025 that remains neither accepted nor rejected after November 30 will automatically revert to “Not Admitted.”
JAMB warned that any subsequent request to update such an admission would attract the applicable penalty fee.
The board therefore urged all affected candidates to log into their CAPS accounts and make their decisions before the new deadline.
