The Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) Women in STEM Traineeship Programme is designed to support young women pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics by providing practical experience in the sustainable energy sector.
The programme focuses on clean energy solutions and financing mechanisms that support Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7), which aims to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all. The traineeship offers exposure to government agencies, private-sector stakeholders, financial institutions, and development partners, allowing participants to contribute to impactful projects while strengthening both technical and soft skills.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the SEforAll Women in STEM Traineeship Programme, applicants must:
Education Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD programme in a STEM-related field; or
- Have graduated from such a programme within the last three years.
- Study or have studied disciplines such as:

- Engineering

Skills Requirements

Financial Platform Support and Training
- Support the Sustainable Energy Finance Developers Platform.
- Assist in validating and refining project data.

- Monitor financing commitments and funding opportunities.
Monitoring and Research
- Support data collection and market research activities.
- Assist with data analysis and project reporting.
- Monitor platform performance and user feedback.
Climate Finance, Policy and Advocacy
- Contribute to sustainable energy finance initiatives.
- Support stakeholder engagement and advocacy campaigns.
- Gain knowledge of climate finance instruments and funding structures.
Communications and Social Media
- Promote project visibility through digital platforms.
- Create and publish content for social media channels.

Trainees will also participate in daily programme activities, site visits, and additional training sessions organized by SEforALL.
