Scholarship Details
The Pittsburg State University Applied Ecology Lab is recruiting two M.S. students to undertake research focused on the ecology and conservation of amphibian species of conservation concern in Kansas.
The selected students will work with Dr. Andrew George and agency biologists to develop research projects covering areas such as amphibian status and distribution, movement ecology, and conservation genetics.
Research will be conducted across both private and public lands using a range of field, laboratory, and analytical techniques.
The programme is particularly suitable for students interested in ecology, wildlife conservation, environmental science, genetics, and related fields.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Pittsburg State University Graduate Assistantship, applicants must:
- Have completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field by May 2026.
- Have a strong academic record.
- Have previous research experience relevant to the proposed projects.
- Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be prepared for extensive travel to remote field locations.
