Eligibility Criteria

To be qualified for the National Scholarship Program, applicants must fulfill the following:

  • Be currently enrolled at a university outside the borders of Slovakia.
  • For Master’s students, candidates must be actively pursuing second-level higher education.
  • For undergraduate students, individuals must have completed a minimum of 2.5 years of higher education studies.
  • Ensure the application is intended solely for short-term study or research mobility stays.
  • Obtain an official invitation or acceptance letter issued directly by a Slovak host institution.
  • Submit a clear and structured study or research plan.
  • Demonstrate necessary language proficiency in either Slovak or English based on program requirements.
  • For researchers and university teachers, candidates must meet specific professional experience requirements.

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants of the National Scholarship Program will receive the following monthly financial allowances:

  • University Students: €650 per month.
  • PhD Students: €1,025.50 per month.
  • University Teachers, Researchers & Artists (Without a PhD and under 4 years of experience): €734 per month.
  • University Teachers, Researchers & Artists (With a PhD and under 10 years of experience): €980 per month.
  • University Teachers, Researchers & Artists (With a PhD and over 10 years of experience): €1,050 per month.
