Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the MOFCOM Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a Kenyan citizen
- Be in good physical and mental health
- Be under 45 years old
- For Master’s applicants:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree
- For PhD applicants:
- Hold a Master’s degree
- Have at least 3 years of relevant work experience (especially for Master’s programs)
- Possess a strong academic background
- Demonstrate proficiency in English or Chinese, depending on the program
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the MOFCOM Scholarship will receive:

- Monthly stipend:
- RMB 36,000/year (Master’s students)
- RMB 42,000/year (PhD students)
- One-time settlement allowance of RMB 3,000
