Scholarship Details
The Imperial College President’s PhD Scholarship provides exceptional students with the opportunity to undertake doctoral research at Imperial College London, a world-leading university renowned for excellence in science, technology, engineering, medicine, and research.
The programme is open to talented candidates from Imperial College, other UK institutions, and universities worldwide, with no nationality restrictions.
Applications are assessed through a competitive two-stage selection process.
First, candidates who meet or are expected to meet the eligibility requirements are assessed by the academic department to which they have applied. Departments then nominate their strongest candidates for consideration by the Imperial College Selection Panel.
The final selection is made by the Selection Panel, which considers shortlisted candidates from across Imperial’s Faculties and awards scholarships to applicants who demonstrate the greatest academic and research potential.
Successful candidates will receive written confirmation of the scholarship. Any offer of a PhD place remains subject to the relevant departmental interview and, where applicable, achievement of predicted qualifications.
