Scholarship Details
The National Scholarship Programme (NSP) is funded by the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic as part of the country’s long-standing commitment to international academic cooperation and development. The programme supports international students, PhD candidates, university teachers, researchers, and artists who wish to undertake study, research, teaching, or artistic mobility at eligible institutions in Slovakia.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Government of Slovak Republic National Scholarship Programme, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a country other than Slovakia.
- Be a university student enrolled at a university outside Slovakia.
- Be a Master’s student or have completed at least 2.5 years of university studies in the same or a related programme before the application deadline.
- Be accepted by a public, private, or state higher education institution in Slovakia for an academic mobility programme.
- Be applying for postgraduate studies at a Slovak institution.
- Be a PhD student whose higher education or scientific training takes place outside Slovakia and who has been accepted by an eligible Slovak university or research institution.
- Be an international university teacher, researcher, or artist invited by an eligible Slovak institution to undertake a teaching, research, or artistic stay.
- Meet the language requirements of the host institution (English, French, Slovak, or Spanish, where applicable).
