Program Details
The Future-X Unilever Campus Ambassador Program is designed to identify, develop, and empower future leaders by providing valuable workplace experience and leadership development opportunities. Through this initiative, participants serve as a bridge between Unilever and tertiary institutions while gaining practical industry exposure.
As part of the program, successful applicants will participate in a one-year Import and Export (ImpEx) Internship where they will support shipment tracking, logistics coordination, documentation management, and supply chain activities. The internship offers direct exposure to international trade operations and enables participants to work with professionals across Unilever’s local and global network.
Interns will work full-time from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, while contributing to critical logistics and import/export processes.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Future-X Unilever Campus Ambassador Program, applicants must:
- Be currently serving or have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate strong analytical and data interpretation abilities
- Be proficient in:
- Microsoft Excel

- Have excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities
Selected interns will be expected to:
- Maintain and update shipment tracking records from origin to final delivery
- Track container returns and invoice settlements
- Liaise with:
- Clearing agents
- Suppliers
- Banks
- Global logistics partners
- Ensure timely processing and submission of shipping documentation
- Verify that shipping permits, certificates, and required documents are complete and submitted at least five days before vessel arrival
- Prepare, upload, and monitor document approvals in line with Unilever’s Statement of Authority
- Monitor shipment timelines and escalate risks, delays, or compliance issues when necessary
- Support container deposit and bond tracking processes
- Assist with financial postings and process improvement initiatives within the Import and Export function
