Program Details
The ASEF Young Leaders Training 2026 is a six-month leadership development programme that runs from June to November 2026, combining virtual learning with hands-on community engagement. The programme begins with an online training phase scheduled from June 9 to July 30, 2026, where participants will receive expert-led sessions focused on leadership and global challenges.
This is followed by a community action phase from August to November 2026, during which participants will implement projects within their local communities. Additionally, a select group of participants will be invited to attend a fully funded in-person training in Tromsø, Norway, from August 23 to 29, 2026. The programme is designed to foster international collaboration, strengthen leadership capacity, and equip young leaders with the tools needed to create meaningful social impact.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the ASEF Young Leaders Training, applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 30 years old
- Be from eligible countries in Asia or Europe
- Be a student or young professional
- Be actively involved in youth initiatives, community work, or student organizations
- Have a good command of English (no IELTS required)
- Have leadership or community project experience (an added advantage)
