Scholarship Details
The University of Southern Queensland International PhD Stipend and Fee Scholarship supports outstanding international students who wish to undertake doctoral research at UniSQ in 2027.
The scholarship is intended for candidates with strong academic backgrounds and research potential who want to contribute to high-quality research initiatives at the University.
Successful applicants will receive financial assistance towards their tuition fees and living expenses for the duration of their eligible PhD studies. Candidates may also have the opportunity to participate in an industry internship as part of the Industry Stream.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the University of Southern Queensland PhD Scholarship 2027, applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours or an equivalent qualification.
- Be eligible for full-time, on-campus enrolment in an approved UniSQ PhD programme.
- Be an international student, meaning they must not be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand.

Scholarship Benefits
Successful Scholars will receive:
- AUD $39,000 per year as a living-cost stipend.
- Full tuition fee coverage for up to three years of full-time PhD study.
- Any previous period of PhD study will be deducted from the maximum scholarship duration.
- An industry internship of at least 60 days for successful candidates in the Industry Stream.

- Proof of citizenship.
- Statement of Claim addressing the scholarship selection criteria.
- Academic qualifications, including degree certificates and transcripts for all completed degrees.

Continuing students must be within 18 months of commencing their studies full-time, or 36 months part-time, by December 2026 to meet the stated eligibility requirement.
