Scholarship Details
The Southwest University President Scholarship was established to strengthen friendship, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding between China and other countries around the world.
Through this scholarship program, Southwest University supports outstanding international students and researchers who wish to pursue undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies in China.
The scholarship is divided into two categories: Type A and Type B. Both categories provide tuition support and medical insurance, while Type A additionally includes monthly living allowances for selected students.
According to the university’s scholarship regulations, international students studying in China can only benefit from one scholarship category at a time.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Southwest University President Scholarship, applicants must:
- Meet one of the following academic requirements:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Minimum score of 80 out of 100
- Provide proof of language proficiency through certificates such as:
- HSK
- TOEFL iBT
- IELTS
- Demonstrate sufficient language ability for academic learning and communication on campus
- Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship in China
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants for the Southwest University President Scholarship will receive:
Type A Scholarship
- Full tuition coverage
- Monthly living allowance:
- Undergraduate Students: CNY 1100 per month
- Master’s Students: CNY 1400 per month
- PhD Students: CNY 1700 per month
Type B Scholarship
- Full tuition coverage only
Additional Benefits for Both Categories
- Medical insurance worth CNY 800 per year
