North Carolina State University is currently accepting applications for a fully funded Graduate Research Assistantship (GRA) position for prospective PhD students. The selected student will work on the research project titled “Using eDNA and occupancy modeling to inform aquatic imperiled species recovery.” The project focuses on applying advanced environmental DNA (eDNA) techniques and occupancy modeling to support conservation efforts and improve recovery strategies for endangered aquatic species.
Throughout the program, the candidate will gain practical and research experience in areas such as laboratory development, field-based eDNA surveillance techniques, occupancy modeling, habitat evaluation, and the management of imperiled species. These experiences will also help develop valuable skills applicable to broader conservation science and ecological research.
Eligibility Criteria
