Internship Details

The UNESCO Internship Program provides participants with practical work experience in a multicultural and international environment. Internship positions are available across various UNESCO offices worldwide. Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to submit their applications early before the stated deadline.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the 2026 UNESCO Graduate Internship Program, applicants must:

  • Be at least 20 years old at the time of application.
  • Meet one of the following academic requirements:
    • Currently enrolled in the third year or final year of a Bachelor’s degree; OR
    • Currently enrolled in a Master’s, PhD, or equivalent postgraduate programme; OR
    • Have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree within the last 12 months (as indicated on the diploma).
  • For secretarial/assistant or technical/professional roles:
    • Be enrolled in a secretarial school or specialized technical/professional institution in the final year of study; OR
    • Have graduated within the last 12 months.
  • Have an excellent written and spoken command of English or French (knowledge of the other language is an advantage and may be required for certain roles).
  • Possess strong computer literacy and proficiency in office-related software.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team within an international setting.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Note: Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree but are not enrolled in a graduate programme are not eligible to apply.
