Scholarship Details

Yokohama National University (YNU), in partnership with the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program, has announced the Master’s Degree Programme in Infrastructure Management (IMP) for the 2026–2028 academic session. This highly competitive programme is supported by the Government of Japan and administered by the World Bank, with the goal of developing skilled professionals from developing countries.

The IMP programme is tailored for government officials and infrastructure professionals and adopts an interdisciplinary approach that combines engineering, economics, management, and law to address complex global infrastructure challenges.

Eligibility Criteria

To be qualified for the Joint Japan / World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP), applicants must:

  • Be a national of an eligible World Bank member country (dual citizens of developed countries are not eligible)
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with strong academic performance, obtained at least three years before the application deadline
  • Have a minimum of three years of recent, full-time professional experience in development-related work after earning a Bachelor’s degree
    • Exceptions apply for applicants from countries on the World Bank’s Harmonized List of Fragile Situations
  • Be in good health
  • Not be a World Bank or IMF staff member, Executive Director, or a close relative of such personnel

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants for the World Bank Yokohama National University Scholarship 2026 will receive:
