The University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) has officially opened its 2026 Pre-Admission Application for the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC Type A – Bilateral Program).
The Chinese Government Scholarship is a prestigious full or partial scholarship sponsored by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. It is implemented under educational exchange agreements or understandings signed between China and other governments, institutions, or international organizations.
The China Scholarship Council (CSC) manages the enrollment and daily administration of international students under this scholarship program, ensuring academic excellence and global cooperation in higher education.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the USTB Chinese Government Scholarship 2026, applicants must:
- Be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
- Meet the following academic background and age requirements:
- Master’s applicants: Must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
- Doctoral applicants: Must hold a master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
- Have a certain level of language proficiency:
- For programs taught in Chinese: Minimum of HSK Level 4.
- For programs taught in English (if English is not an official language of the applicant’s country): Submit an IELTS score of 6.0, TOEFL score of 80, or other recognized English proficiency certificate.
- Undergraduate applicants must take the CSCA exam.
