Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the World Bank Group Young Professionals Program 2026, applicants must:

  • Hold at least a Master’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field.
  • Have 2–6 years of professional work experience in areas relevant to WBG’s operations.
  • Be a national of a World Bank Group member country, confirmed by passport or official documentation.
  • Have completed a master’s-level degree or equivalent before September 1, 2026.
  • For doctoral candidates, ongoing full-time research may count toward work experience, provided all written work is submitted by September 1, 2026.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in English (fluency in additional languages is considered an advantage).
  • Not hold an ET or ST contract at the Bank at the time of application.
  • Not be an existing World Bank Group staff member precluded by eligibility policy.
  • Be eligible if applying as a Junior Professional Associate (JPA) or as a former World Bank intern, provided the appointment or internship ends on or before September 30, 2025.
