Scholarship Details
The Chinese Government Hubei Scholarship is fully funded and aims to attract exceptional international students to study in Hubei, one of China’s most educationally advanced provinces.
- The program is generously funded by an initial ¥35 million (approx. US$5 million) from the Beijing Municipal Education Commission.
- It supports students at all academic levels and offers substantial financial aid, including tuition waivers, housing, and a monthly living stipend.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Chinese Government Hubei Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a non-Chinese citizen
- Undergraduate Applicants:
- Be under 25 years old
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Masters Applicants:
- Be under 30 years old
- Hold a bachelor’s degree
- Doctoral Applicants:
- Be under 35 years old
- Hold a master’s degree
- Meet specific academic and professional requirements
- Be in good health and satisfy the language requirements of the chosen program
Scholarship Benefits
Successful recipients of the Chinese Government Hubei Scholarship will receive:

- Monthly Living Allowance, based on the level of study:
- Undergraduate: ¥10,000/year
- Graduate (Master’s): ¥15,000/year
- Doctoral: ¥20,000/year

- Advanced Scholar: ¥10,000 (6 months) or ¥20,000/year
