The Poland Government Stefan Banach Scholarship is a joint initiative between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), offered as part of Poland’s development aid strategy.
It merges the Banach and Lukasiewicz Scholarship Programmes into one comprehensive offer for young individuals from developing countries (excluding Europe and Central Asia), aiming to enhance educational levels and drive socio-economic growth in their home countries.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the Poland Government Banach Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Be citizens of eligible developing countries
- Not hold Polish citizenship and must not have applied for it
- Be planning to start a Master’s program in the 2025/26 academic session
- Have documented knowledge of Polish or English, depending on the language of instruction
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of The Poland Government Banach Scholarship will receive:
- Exemption from tuition fees at Polish public universities
- Monthly stipend of PLN 1,700 during the preparatory course
- Monthly stipend of PLN 1,500 during second-cycle (Master’s) studies
- Additional PLN 500 during the first month of the first year
- Additional PLN 500 during the final month of the final year
- Extra PLN 500 upon documented emergency, with approval from NAWA
