The fully funded WACSI Internship covers a round-trip flight to and from the intern’s home country, furnished accommodation, lunch on working days, and a monthly stipend throughout the internship period.

Internship Details
The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) is a regional NGO committed to strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations (CSOs) across West Africa for improved sustainability and operational efficiency.
To deepen its engagement with CSOs in Nigeria, WACSI established a nodal office in Abuja in November 2022 to support the capacity development needs of local civil society actors.
WACSI now seeks an intern who is passionate about civic development and eager to enhance their professional competence. The intern will work within WACSI’s core program areas, supporting the planning and execution of activities at the WACSI Node Nigeria.
Eligibility Criteria
- Hold a minimum of a first degree in International Affairs, Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Development Studies, or related fields.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in civil society and non-profit organization management.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct research on policy and legislative issues.
- Assist in gathering information and preparing reports for policy meetings.
- Support the organization of policy meetings and workshops.
- Contribute to developing training tools for policy advocacy.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for WACSI activities.
Internship Benefits
This is a fully funded internship by WACSI. Interns will receive a flight to and from their home country, furnished accommodation, lunch during workdays, and a monthly stipend. The internship will take place primarily at the WACSI Office in Abuja, Nigeria.
