The University of Ibadan has commenced its Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) screening for candidates seeking undergraduate admission into its 21 faculties for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The computer-based screening began on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the university’s Distance Learning Centre, which houses a 1,500-seat Computer-Based Testing (CBT) facility. The exercise is scheduled to run for three days.
To accommodate the 14,000 registered candidates, the university has arranged four batches of screening each day. On-ground support includes medical personnel from the University Health Services (Jaja Clinic), who are available for emergencies, and safety officers who are maintaining crowd control and ensuring the well-being of participants and their accompanying parents or guardians. Waiting areas with designated canopies have also been provided for their comfort.
Monitoring the screening process are the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Peter Olapegba, alongside other principal officers, as well as teaching and non-teaching staff assigned to oversee the exercise.
