As the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) opens registration for its 2025 Second Series examinations, leading payment technology platform, Remita, has reiterated its dedication to ensuring equitable access to education by streamlining the purchase of registration PINs through its wide network of digital and physical payment channels across the country.
Through its continued partnership with WAEC, Remita aims to make the registration process smoother and more accessible for candidates, particularly those in underserved areas. The platform ensures secure, swift, and reliable access to WAEC registration PINs via online portals, banks, and authorized outlets nationwide.
Chinedu Alisa, Head of Enterprise Assets at Remita, noted that the collaboration is designed to eliminate persistent challenges faced by students during registration, including unstable payment platforms, limited access in rural regions, and delays caused by inefficient systems.
He emphasized that Remita’s robust infrastructure is built not only to handle large volumes of transactions but also to connect seamlessly with banks, merchants, and other payment providers—ensuring a smooth experience for every user.
“We’re more than just a payment platform,” Alisa said. “We support the critical moments that shape lives—like a student preparing for the WAEC exams. Every successful transaction on our platform moves them one step closer to their goals. At Remita, we don’t just process payments; we enable possibilities.”
He added that Remita’s systems are designed to evolve alongside the demands of Nigeria’s expanding digital landscape, reinforcing its commitment to national growth, financial inclusion, and educational equity.
“Our mission goes beyond business. Whether it’s for WAEC, salaries, taxes, donations, or other transactions, Remita remains the platform that powers payments for everyone, everywhere,” he said.
