The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lagos State Directorate, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Institute of Global Peace and Conflict Management (IGPCM) to promote moral reorientation in Nigerian schools.

The collaboration was formalised during a courtesy visit by IGPCM representatives to the NOA office in Lagos.

Welcoming the delegation, the State Director of NOA, Dr. Mustafa Adedeji Tukur, commended IGPCM’s consistent advocacy for peacebuilding and moral values. He noted that the partnership aligns with NOA’s ongoing efforts to address moral decadence in society, especially among young people.

Chairman of IGPCM, Dr. Kenneth Rafua, stressed the urgent need to combat the rising moral decay among youths, attributing the problem to excessive greed, negative influence of social media, and widespread circulation of counterfeit goods. He emphasised the importance of introducing value-based education early in life and reiterated the institute’s commitment to peaceful conflict resolution.

Dr. Tukur reaffirmed NOA’s dedication to moral regeneration, citing the agency’s key programmes such as the National Values Charter, the Anti–Get-Rich-Quick Syndrome campaign, and extensive grassroots sensitisation drives across Nigeria. He assured IGPCM of NOA’s full cooperation in implementing value-driven initiatives that reflect the agency’s national mandate.

Both parties agreed on the need for deeper engagement with NOA’s national leadership, signalling a stronger alliance between government and civil society organisations to restore Nigeria’s moral foundation, especially among its younger population.
