The complete breakdown of subjects in Nigeria’s newly approved school curriculum has been made public after the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, shared it on Wednesday.
Olusegun posted an image on his official X handle which he said contained the official subjects for Junior Secondary School (JSS) and Senior Secondary School (SSS) under the new education framework.
According to him, “The new curriculum for Nigerian schools, which takes effect from the next academic session in September 2025, has now been released.”
The curriculum, unveiled by the Federal Government on Sunday, introduces a stronger emphasis on digital literacy and entrepreneurship at the JSS level, while advanced technology-driven subjects such as programming, artificial intelligence, and additional international languages feature more prominently in the SSS section.
