The Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the commencement of admissions into its School of Part-Time Studies (LASU-SPTS) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to the University Registrar, Emmanuel A. Fanu, interested candidates can now apply for admission into various part-time degree programmes at the Ojo Campus. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have five O’Level credits. Direct entry is also available for holders of OND certificates from recognized polytechnics as well as those with LASU diplomas with Upper Credit in relevant fields.
The programmes are spread across the Faculties of Arts, Communication and Media Studies, Management Sciences, Science, and Social Sciences. Courses offered include English Language, History and International Studies, Music, Philosophy, Peace Studies, Yoruba Communication Arts, Mass Communication, Accounting, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Insurance, Computer Science, Fisheries, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology.
Prospective candidates are required to visit the university’s official website at www.lasu.edu.ng/epayment to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦20,000 before accessing the application form. Completed forms must be submitted online with all necessary credentials uploaded. Applicants will subsequently be invited for an entrance examination, after which successful candidates will be expected to pay an acceptance fee of ₦30,000 and a medical fee of ₦30,000.
The application deadline is six weeks from the date of publication. The university also warned applicants against paying money to individuals or unauthorized accounts, stressing that all transactions must be carried out strictly through its official website.
