The Lagos State government has scheduled the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) to hold from July 2 to July 8, 2025.
According to Onadipe Opebere, Public Affairs Officer of the Lagos State Examinations Board, preparations have been finalized by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to conduct the examinations across the state.
Adebayo Orunsolu, Director of the Examinations Board, described the BECE as a significant milestone for thousands of students moving from junior secondary to senior secondary school.
“The board is committed to ensuring a fair and seamless examination process for students in both public and private schools across Lagos State,” Mr Orunsolu said.
He advised students to approach the examinations with confidence, dedication, and hard work, and urged parents, guardians, and school authorities to take note of the examination dates and follow all guidelines.
Mr Orunsolu also assured stakeholders that comprehensive measures have been put in place to guarantee a smooth and successful conduct of the examinations.
