The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has shifted the date for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) from Tuesday to Thursday.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, explained that the change was prompted by the Federal Government’s declaration of a public holiday to honour the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Dr. Olohungbebe assured students, parents, and school officials that the postponement was unavoidable due to the unexpected holiday.
He expressed the ministry’s regret for any inconvenience caused and extended gratitude to the public for their understanding and cooperation.
