A non-governmental organisation, Iykon Global Foundation, in partnership with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has launched a web-based test engine and online learning platform designed to support Nigerian students at both secondary and undergraduate levels.
The initiative, unveiled yesterday in Asaba, Delta State capital, is aimed at improving students’ performance in national examinations and reducing the rising cases of mass failures.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Director of Iykon Global Foundation, Ambassador Ephraim Ikechukwu Nwonu, explained that the platform was developed to help students prepare effectively for WAEC, NECO, JAMB, and other examinations, while also serving as a resource for job seekers.
“The whole essence of this initiative is to assist Nigerian students to pass their examinations with ease and to reduce failure rates. It will also complement President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in the education sector. Job seekers and graduates can also benefit from this all-important platform,” Nwonu stated.
He commended the Federal Government for its National Student Loan Fund (NELFUND) initiative, describing it as a critical step towards expanding access to education.
On his part, the President of NANS, Comrade Olushola Oladoja, described the project as a timely response to the educational challenges facing Nigerian students. He noted that the test engine would enhance access to quality learning, bridge the gap between classroom instruction and examination preparedness, and empower students with 21st-century educational tools.
“This initiative is not just a project but a tool for empowerment, a bridge to excellence, and a strategic response to the evolving educational demands of our time,” Oladoja said, stressing that inadequate resources and limited practical platforms have long hindered Nigerian students.
