The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates on Monday, August 4, 2025.
Candidates are advised to log on to the result portal at www.waecdirect.org to access their scores.
Each candidate will need their examination number, WAEC result checker PIN, and serial number as printed on their e-PIN voucher.
Every applicant has already received their serial number and PIN for the result checker from WAEC. To find the result checker PIN and serial number, candidates should check the Smart Identity Card used during the examination.
If a candidate has misplaced their PIN or exceeded the number of allowed checks, a new one can be purchased through the WAEC Request Management System portal. The WAEC result checker PIN costs N4,250.
To purchase a WAEC result checker PIN:
- Visit the WAEC Request Management System portal at https://request.waec.ng
- A transaction reference number will be generated automatically
- Under “Select a Request Type,” choose “Request For Service”
- Under “Select a Request,” choose “Sale of WAEC Direct Result Checker”
- Enter your name, phone number, and email address
- Click on “Proceed to Online Payment” to make payment and access your WAEC result checker PIN
To check your result online:
- Visit https://www.waecdirect.org
- Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number (7-digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number, e.g., 4123456789)
- Enter the 4-digit Examination Year (e.g., 2025)
- Select the type of examination: “SCHOOL CANDIDATE RESULT”
- Enter the e-PIN Voucher Number
- Enter the PIN on your e-PIN
- Submit and wait for the result to display
Note: For examination years before 1999, enter the 8-digit WAEC Examination Number (5-digit centre number followed by the 3-digit candidate number, e.g., 19865001).
To check your result via SMS:
- This method is available only to MTN, Glo, and Airtel subscribers
- Using your mobile phone, type: WAECExamNoPIN*ExamYear
- Send to 32327
- You will receive an SMS containing your WAEC statement of result
Note: If you do not receive your result via SMS, repeat the process.
