As part of his commitment to advancing educational development in Oyo State, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has announced a scholarship initiative to support indigent students through the provision of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms and free coaching for JAMB classes.
Ajadi revealed that over 10,000 indigent students across the 33 local government areas of the state will benefit from this programme this year. He stated that each local government will have at least 300 beneficiaries, emphasizing that the initiative is open to all indigenes and residents of Oyo State, aiming to promote quality education across the region.
The governorship hopeful noted that all applicants must possess a National Identity Number (NIN) and G.C.E Ordinary Level Certificates to qualify. The distribution of forms and screening will take place at all 33 Local Government Secretariat offices of the PDP in the state from Monday, January 19, to February 28, 2026, with selection conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring fairness and transparency.
A renowned philanthropist, Ajadi stressed that education is the foundation for national development, highlighting his desire to contribute to the growth of education by supporting indigent students in furthering their studies. He also referenced his previous educational support initiatives in Ogun State, reiterating his ongoing commitment to helping vulnerable populations through empowerment programmes, including educational support.
Ajadi stated, “I want to build a solid foundation for the youths by making education attractive through financial grants, tech support, and provision of educational resources. Education is unarguably the foundation for the future, which is why I am providing JAMB forms to not less than 10,000 students in the state. This initiative has been positively received by parents and wards, relieving them of financial burdens during these challenging economic times.”
The programme underscores Ajadi’s pledge to continue supporting educational development in Oyo State and ensuring that every eligible student has the opportunity to pursue higher education.
