The Federal Ministry of Education has reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with state governments to guarantee access to quality education for every Nigerian child.

In a statement issued on Sunday and signed by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade, the Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, emphasized the need to deepen federal–state cooperation to address the persistent challenge of out-of-school children.

The minister commended the Committee of States’ Commissioners of Education in Nigeria for organizing its inaugural peer-learning webinar, describing the initiative as timely and in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda. He noted that the effort reinforces the Ministry’s responsibility to ensure that all Nigerian children have access to high-quality education.

Alausa stressed that tackling the out-of-school children crisis requires coordinated reforms, collective responsibility, and evidence-based strategies across all tiers of government. He also highlighted the vital role of the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education in driving targeted interventions for vulnerable groups.

According to him, effective implementation at the state level depends on harmonised strategies, data-driven planning, and ongoing knowledge-sharing among stakeholders.

The statement further revealed that the webinar will include presentations from Gombe State and the National Commission, providing practical insights and a broader national outlook to support policy execution.

Alausa concluded by reaffirming the Federal Government’s determination to work closely with states to promote inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all Nigerian children.
