Are you passionate about international relations and eager to understand how the European Union operates within the African Union (AU)?
The EU Traineeship offers you a 6-month placement within the Political, Press, and Information (PPI) Section of the EU Delegation to the African Union, starting November 2025.
The Green and Digital Economy Section of the EU Delegation also oversees projects in the following sectors:
- Agriculture and Climate Change
- Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency
- Circular Economy and Innovation
- Digitalization and Youth Employment
- Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and Investment
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the EU Traineeship Program, applicants must:
- Be currently residing in Ethiopia.
- Hold a Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Law, or Social Studies.
- Possess no more than one year of professional work experience.
- Demonstrate fluency in English (working knowledge of other languages is an asset).
- Show excellent analytical and drafting skills, with strong interest in AU politics, governance, and economics.
- Exhibit a proactive attitude, openness to learning, and readiness to contribute ideas.
Program Benefits
