SARA by Wema, in partnership with the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) and Mastercard Foundation, introduces this transformative fellowship to empower Nigerian youth, especially young female entrepreneurs, with the tools needed to thrive in business.
The Transforming Nigerian Youth Program is focused on reshaping the mindset of Nigerian youths, helping them shift from job seekers to job creators. It provides a combination of capacity-building workshops, market access opportunities, mentoring sessions, and grant funding, enabling participants to build sustainable enterprises and become key contributors to Nigeria’s economic development.
Through hands-on enterprise training and strategic business support, the program empowers individuals to develop scalable businesses, access funding, and gain entry into local and international markets. Special emphasis is placed on helping women between the ages of 18 and 35 build impactful ventures.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Wema Bank/EDC Mastercard Transforming Nigerian Youth Program, applicants must:
- Be a young entrepreneur aged 18–35 years
- Be a resident in Nigeria
- Be a female entrepreneur, actively running or planning a business in any MSME sector
