Eligibility Criteria

- Have applied for a Master’s programme at Wageningen University & Research before the stated deadline
- Be unconditionally admitted to the selected MSc programme
- Be an excellent student, ranked within the top 5%, with a First Class Honours degree and a minimum GPA of 80% in a Bachelor’s degree

Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the Wageningen University Scholarship 2026 will receive:
- Travel costs to and from the Netherlands
- Living allowance for the full duration of the programme (24 months)
- Full tuition fee coverage for the duration of the programme (24 months)
- Coverage of visa costs and health insurance

How to Apply
To apply for the Wageningen University Scholarships 2026, interested and qualified candidates should follow the steps below:
Step 1: Apply for an MSc Programme
- Apply for an eligible Master’s programme at Wageningen University before February 1, 2026
- If you meet all stated requirements and apply before the deadline, you may be eligible for consideration under the Africa Scholarship Programme (ASP)
Step 2: Invitation to Apply
- In April 2026, all students who have been unconditionally admitted to an MSc programme will be assessed for the Africa Scholarship Programme
- A selected group of candidates will receive an email invitation on April 1, 2026 to participate in the ASP selection procedure
- Only invited candidates will be contacted
Step 3: Online Interview
- Following assessment of submitted assignments, shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview with members of the selection committee
- Candidates will be informed whether or not they have progressed to this stage
Step 4: Final Selection Results
- The outcome of the selection process will be communicated to all interviewed candidates, with the following possible results:
- Positive: ASP scholarship awarded
- Positive: Candidate placed on a waiting list
- Negative: ASP scholarship not awarded
