  • Hold an offer for one of the following courses at the University of Sheffield for the 2026/27 academic year:
    • International Development MA
    • Environmental Change and International Development MSc
    • International Development (Masters in Public Health) MPH
    • International Law and Global Justice LLM
    • International Political Economy MA
    • Global Journalism MA
    • International Public and Political Communication MA
  • Be classified as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes
  • Not already hold a qualification equal to or higher than the course being applied for
  • Not have previously studied outside their country of residence
  • Be self-funded and not sponsored by a government, research council, private organisation, or charity
  • Not hold or combine this scholarship with any other funding award
  • Be studying full-time
  • Begin studies at the University of Sheffield in September 2026 (deferrals are not permitted)
  • Successfully meet all academic conditions attached to the offer by the Admissions Service deadline
  • Successfully obtain a valid visa to study in the UK
  • Be a national of, or permanently domiciled in, a low or lower-middle-income country as classified by the World Bank

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants of the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust Masters Scholarships will receive:
